A small collection of snapshots featuring buildings with Jugendstil elements across Europe (Helsinki, Vienna, Prague, Munich, Trieste, Sweden).
Not to miss when in Munich by the way: Franz von Stuck’s Villa! He was frequently involved in the making of the Munich based magazine “Jugend”, which gave the name to “Jugendstil”.
3x Theater in Wien!
The artist-sculptor Carl Milles and his Austrian wife Olga bought a plot in Stockholm’s suburb Lidingö in 1906 and had an italian-style villa built there in 1908, which got constantly enlarged over the years and later on turned into a museum now known as Millesgården. It is a place as picturesque as it is unique and a visit can only be highly recommended to every visitor of Stockholm!
